Fertility Handle™
CAMERA-GUIDED INTRAVAGINAL DEVICE AND METHODS FOR IMPROVING CERVICAL OS EXPOSURE
A user-insertable intravaginal device and methods are provided to improve exposure of the external cervical os after intercourse and/or vaginal artificial insemination. Anatomical variation and/or incomplete arousal may cause the os to be partially occluded by vaginal wall tissue. The device is inserted prior to fluid deposition and is configured to displace adjacent vaginal tissue to create and maintain a gap adjacent the cervix, exposing an unobstructed external os and supporting sperm movement toward the os. In some embodiments, the device includes a lumen, optionally with an expanded part, for delivering semen, and a camera with light to guide placement. In some embodiments, an expandable petal mechanism including a membrane and one or more petals expands upon cervical contact to form a non-sealing confinement pocket into which semen is delivered. The device remains within the vaginal canal without entering the cervical canal. Tentative name of the product – Fertility Handle.
